Looking at the Systems of language, it seems to be what we already do. This document is more specific than AAUSVELS

Having taught units to engage grade five and six students for many years, I now need to reflect as to whether those units can be adapted to fit within the AC:Languages, or whether they will need to be rewritten or discarded completely. Change creates opportunities and challenges to continue the engagement for both students and teacher!

It's powerful to understand that the language learning starts from the student understanding self so that they can then develop their deeper understanding of their language learning experience

It is good to see a curriculum being revamped but can we can have some time to reflect and have time to audit our curriculum.

Having attended this workshop and having been both the Indonesian and generic course material writer for the "New Land New Language: A LOTE Learning Program", produced by the QLD LOTE Centre, I am confident that QLD state school teachers who have both a conceptual and working knowledge of this resource are well positioned to implement the AC: Languages utilising the learning materials within this program. Two NLNL modules are provided on Scootle.

Hi Sue.
Go to the following link from my website for a couple of videos on TPR.

If you remind me again tomorrow, I can send you a PowerPoint that you may be able to use with your upper primary classes using TPR methodology. Provide me with your email address so I can send this.

Thanks Jim. Yes these videos are good. Have a look at the Genki English website. http://genkienglish.net/teaching/welcome/
The ideas have from this website been most instructive. Students are engaged & on task.
